FIM USA/SL enjoys the enthusiastic support of the community. Community members are very happy to have a
functioning school in their community, and are eagerly pitching in to construct the school.
We can only imagine how blessed they are
to be able to hear the Word of God in their own language, taught by a
Divinity-school-trained pastor.
This is the road (!) leading to the village. Once across this primitive bridge, there are several
miles more to go. No ordinary vehicles can make the journey. The region is
very inaccessible. Due to lack of access to markets, farmers have low incomes
and do not grow more than they themselves can store and use.
The WHO came to the village to give a lecture.
While most people engage in agriculture, there are a few other occupations, such as
being a tailor (depicted) or a blacksmith.
